Getting Star 1
1. Find Tim: ( he's the one with the giant doggie head on, by the racquetball
court) and cheer him up. then go to the town hall were Helen is (Mayer)2. Meet the people: go see Ewen in his house and talk to him to cheer him up,
then go downtown to see Tyler in his shop and cheer him up too. When you have
done that go see Helen ( the Mayer, in the town hall )3. New person: a girl rushes in when you are talking to Helen, her name is
Ashley and she is going to run the flower shop, finish talking to Helen and
she will ask you to keep an eye on Ashley.4. Ashley: Ashley is standing outside her new flower shop, talk to her ans she
and you will reach star 1!
will ask you to fill all the flowerbeds in town with beautiful flowers, she
will then give you lots of tulips, go fill the flowerbeds, talk to her when
you run out, when you've done that talk to Ashley and she will give to moneyStar Level New things: Every time you fill your star meter better things will
happen! The people will be happier, more shops will open, there will be more
things for you to do and most importantly more tourists will arrive!!!On To Star 2 !
Here's a couple of Hints: whenever you see tourists, talk to them! They give
you some money if you make them happy and it increases your star meter ( not
very much but every little helps! )Try to buy as much of the shop owners things as possible - it makes them
happier and they increase there stock to newer better things!1. Go See Helen: she tells you you're doing great! And that your stuff has
been taken to your new home. ( yes you have stuff!!!! )2. In the Morning: After your rest you will wake up and see Helen she will
tell you tourists are coming to visit. Also that Olivia is back from her
buying trip and Joseph is home. Helen has heard that someone has moved into
the Forest as well, but she hasn't seen anyone, she's wondering if he rumours
are true.3. Olivia's shop: Go to see Olivia in the General Store at the bottom end of
town, but Olivia is nowhere to be seen, there is a suit of armour in the top
right corner if her shop tap it and she will be freed, she will be very happy
then.4. Joseph's Dock: go see Joseph ( he's at the docks ) and cheer him up.
5. Furniture Shop: Sophie is sleeping at the back of her shop using the
comfort and encouragement icons in conversation wake her up6. Get a Racquet: Tim is still by the racquetball courts go and talk to him
and he will tell you that he doesn't want to make his grandmother worry. Talk
to him again and he will say that we should increase the sport in the town so
more tourists come and weather you would like to try out racquetball, he then
gives you a regular racquet to try out racquetball ( play racquetball - do I
really need to say it?!?! )When you have had a game (or 2 if you want to) talk to Tim again and he will
tell you that if you help him make the town better you can keep the racquet.7. Tyler is Back in Business: Tyler will have opened his tailor store, go see
him and talk.8. Ashley's Flower Shop: Ashley has opened her new flower shop, go see her and
talk about it. Keep talking and Ashley will ask you about makingLeis. She confesses that she is terrible at making them and wants you to make
them instead.Make some Leis for Ashley, this is a mini game that gives you money and when
you're done Ashley always lets you keep it. It is a great prezzie for the
tourists!9. Deputy Police person: in the afternoon go see Ewan, he will ask you to do a
test. He will give you a camera and ask you to go to the Forest andand take a picture of the Symbol Tree. Run to the Forest and get a picture of
the tree and return it to Ewan, show him your picture which he will give you
money for and give you the position of Deputy and you can keep the camera!10. Go Fish!: Before evening go see Joseph and he will give you the regular
fishing rod and ask you to give him any fish you catch so he can record them
in his book and pay you for them11. Name the Shop: The next day visit Sophie, who will still be sleeping in
her shop she mumbles something about the name of her shop, keep talking to her
and a window will appear for you to name her shop, name it and Sophie will
wake up and jump around happily cos she knows what to name her shop.Whooo you completed star level 2!!!
Star Level New things: more shops are open and the Mayer is thinking of
reissuing the trolley system.Helen says : since more Sims are coming to the town she is going to open up
the trolley system transport, there is a small fee to pay when you use it (
10 ) and there is a new shop open - the cake shop. Know the town is taken care
of you need to focus you energies on the other areas - the Highlands needs
work first but we can't hire a ranger yet due to the lack of funds.Star 3 Almost there!
My couple of Hints: If you see something sparkly on the ground, tap on it
twice. You could be rewarded!Tourists are happier to make happy when you give them gifts beforehand like
cakes and leis but be careful some cakes are not the Sims faves and they don't
like them as much - I have found that girls like shortcake more and boys like
cheesecake more and they both like chocolate cake ( some but not all of the
time)Making Leis: Keep making Leis, Ashley will be really happy (eventfully) and
mention making Normal Leis. They are harder to make, but the tourists are
happier than with small leis.Charlie's Cakes: Go visit the new chef Charlie in the cake shop try to buy his
cakes everyday, they make nice gifts for the tourists and he starts to stock
more later on.New Ranger on the Highlands: go to see Marie in the highlands and talk to her
and she will ask you to place 5 things (you have 4 options at the moment)
Garden Umbrella, Sculpture, bed of tulips and bed of sunflowers you got to
place them on the places were the grass has worn thin. When you have placed
them go and talk to Marie and she will pay you for it.New Items from Olivia: if you go to see Olivia she will tell you some great
news, she is getting in some new stock soon check it out.Racquetball games: play some more racquetball then talk to Tim, he should open
up a new sub game in racquetball called target 1.Rescue: The next day is when Olivia's store has some new stock. Yet again se
is stuck somewhere out of sight this time it is under the table on the right
tap twice on the ink and pen on the table.New Racquet: talk to Tim and he will give you a new Racquet - the heavy
racquet - makes the game slower when used.New Sport: in a couple of days, if you go see Marie, she's thinking of talking
up a new sport cos she found a glider in here house and she wants you to test
it for her, by doing that you unlock a new mini game. Finishing star level 3
Yeahhh!!!Star Level New things: Every shop in town is know open and tourists are coming
in from neighbouring towns to see your town!Helen says: loads more Sims are liking the sporty things and this place is
starting to be more like a resort town. We just got an application form for
the new forest ranger and are thinking of opening up the ferry between here
and the neighbouring town across the river.Star 4 Getting harder!
My Hints: Most of the time you should travel by foot - you meet more tourists
and they improve your star rating and give you money!Harder Leis: Keep making Leis for the tourists. Ashley will be real happy and
offer harder leis for you to make, meaning its easier to cheer up the tourists.Highlands: go see Marie again and chat with her she will tell you that she has
5 new items for you to decorate the highlands with, same as before, find some
worn out grass and put something there, this time you get a birdhouse as well.Lacking Inspiration: Got and see Sophie, she has run out if inspiration and
wants you to help her design material for her shop. Design something for her
and she will love it and ask you to design all her furniture. Essence of
forest can know be usedBig Money = Big House: are you are tired of your tiny little home ( I no I
was ), then you defiantly wanna save ¿10100!Mansion Time Lizzie: go to the port and find Niki, talk to him a couple of
times and get on board the ferry to the entertainment area.In the entertainment area you should find Elizabeth. talk to her and she tells
you that she bought a house for her dog but it was way too small so she is
buying and island for it instead she then asks you if you want to buy her dog
house, if you say yes she asks for ¿10000. If you don't want to buy it you
don't have to but you save loads of money.My First Mountain: go back to your side of the river and wait a day or so and
then go back to the port area and you should find Elizabeth, she tells you
that she bought the mountain in town as a commemorative gift, it was the first
mountain she ever climbed!Foster In The Forest: Go see the new Forest Ranger. Foster seems scared,
encourage him and listen to him and he will soon cheer up.Foster loves animals and wants you to help him in the Forest, by removing dead
trees and replacing it with new items and plants.Like with the Highlands place five new items. Your choices are: Flowering
Tree, Rest Area, Tree or Tent.Star Level New things: Yay you can go across the river in the new ferry,
everywhere is open except from the mountain.Helen says: remember that closed off mountain I was talking about, the owner
has just donated it to the town it even comes with a ranger! Ever since you
came here things have been going smoothly.Star 5!!!!!
My Hint: When you have bought loads of cakes from Charlie he will tell you
gossip about other citizens. This is great if you are stuck in this game, if
you get to a point were you are stuck, Charlie points you in the right
directionTracy's Dowsing: Some thing I have taken to doing beforehand is to save
because the first time I went dowsing everything went gold and I couldn't see
anything properly - I don't know whether it was my game or a factory fault.Get up to that mountain and visit Tracy - blue haired lady and the new
mountain ranger. Go talk to her and she will tell you all about the mountain
rangernessShe then gives you a shovel and asks you to go and dig up something valuable
for her, go find something for her (ore) by tapping the ground to get the
radar then going were it gets reddest and tapping around till you find an
exclamation ( ! ) mark and tap then slide your stylus up and down till it is
uncovered.Go back to Tracy and give her the ore you dug up, she will then give you some
points not money if you collect enough points you can get special items, she
will then tell you that you can come and do it anytime but you will have to
pay ¿50 for he shovel in future.Dig Dug Dugging!: get staright to it and dig her up some or
e. Waste no time and dig up some more Ore for Tracy and earn more points, when
you have about 300 points ask Tracy to tradethem in for an item. She will show you a list of items, many of them are heads
and bodies, swap your points for one head and one body ofyour choosing.
Town Symbol: If you go and see Helen she will ask you to make a statue in the
middle of town to attract more tourists, you then give her one head and one
body of your choice, the next day the symbol is complete.Leap of Faith: Back to the mountain! Go talk to Tracy and she will say that
she has decided to open up paragliding off the mountain and she wants you to
do a safety check for her. You have just opened up the paragliding of the
mountain and gained you 5th star!!!!Star Level New things: whoopee everywhere is open for you know and loads more
Sims are taking up sports.Helen Says: wow the town is full of tourists great job! The town symbol looks
great and everyone is so interested in it! Also someone has arrived in the air
field in the entertainment area, he seems to be having engine troublemy mysims review:
Sims 2 etc.. are deffinatly my fave ever games so naturally when the game came
out i thought it would be great, know i am not too sure. see what you think..At the beginning you design your character - gender, hair, skin, eyes,
clothes - not a great selection but you collect more as you go along, hats,
etc..Then the real game begins,
you go on a boat and talk to the captain and he asks where you are a-going so
you name your town.On your way there you find this boy (Tim) who is wearing some kind of mascot
uniform (dogs head) then you follow him and he leads you to the town mayer,
Helen - she is very busy and can't show you aroundbut she seems upset about Tim (Mascot dog head) who seems to have disapeared.
she directs you to the racketball court were you have to cheer him up by
choosing one of 3 emotions - when you pick one a new one pops up. alltogether
there are 7 different emotions - speak, listen , cry, comfort, laugh,
encourege and shout. there is a happyness meter above his head - that will be
there whenever you talk to someone who needs cheering up i.e tourists. you
need to pick the right emotions so he gets happy again you are also timed by
the bar at the bottom of the screen. when he is happy again he will go back to
his granny ( town mayer Helen.)When all this is done you get the chance to name your sim ( finally)
she also explains to you why she didnt give you a very warm welcome:
their town is in trouble, as a tourist resort there is clothes shop and a
police station they need more tourests and they need your help to get them.
(thats why tim is wearing a mascot dog head thing - to raise the towns spirit)you do this by:
planting flowers
purchasing from the shops
completing little tasks set as you go along
becoming good at an activity
purchasing from the shops
gaining the trust of the other townspeople
and talking to tourists - after you cheer them up they reward you!
There are more areas to explore - the forest, the highlands, the port and your
own little house, you need to make them all more appealing to tourests and as
you go along if you make friends with the right people they will unlock new
areas to exploreTo get to these areas you walk, to start with!!! eventully the trolly opens up
and you can ride it for a small fee to were ever you want to go.In some of the areas you can unlock cool little mini games which you play for
money - racketball, lei making, scuba diving and paragliding are just a few of
them. you can acheve bronze, silver or gold for each of the game and when you
get all the bronzes for example on one of the games lei making for example you
get the bronze trophy, same for the silver and gold.The more you do in your town the happyer the peole get - buy loads from the
shops = happy shopkeepers and new items - give items to the tourest = more and
happyer tourests.There are 5 levels of play represented by stars at the top of your screen.
In the bottom left corner is a little square if you click it the top screen
changes to a big rambow like clock with 4 different time periods - moring,
midday , evening, night, peoples moods change acourding to the time so make
sure you are out no matter what time.In the bottom right of your screen there is a icon with lots of dots if you
click it a new screen with:your items (portable)
a larger map
trophies
fish
people
your furniture
and camera
you have to unlock them as you go along
My opinion is that it is VERY similar to animal crossings but simpler.
it is very easy to understand even though it gets repetatively boring.
i am young adult and the game is obviosly aimed at younger children.
i personaly love the graphics - the big bright coloured characters etc..
So overall a lovely game, fun colourful, easy to understand, but after a while
it gets very repetetive and boring.
